What's It All About?
Four days, three nights.
Time for yourself. Delve into colour. A space to focus, grow and get creative.
Who?
Learn from two international award-winning photographers, self-confessed queens of colour, Bex Maini & Natalie Robinson.
For enthusiastic photographers, whether you're in business or not, the programme is designed to help you grow, introduce new ideas and boost your creativity to get you fired up and excited about your work!
What?
The Chameleon Retreat is a colourful photography workshop for female photographers who love infusing colour and energy into their work, who want to connect with likeminded women and who are keen to actively invest in developing their creativity in a short, intense period of time.
Where?
Brighton! This quirky and colourful city by the sea is the perfect backdrop for our very first retreat and the house we've found is utterly fabulous, with Bex and Natalie as your hosts for this 4 day experience!
How?
We will guide you through a mixture of photography sessions that can be used to build your portfolio, question and expand your patterns of creative thought, pull out more of your creative voice and fill you with ideas to take home to use in your business and/or personal photography life.
Why?
The aim is to leave you with an action plan full of ideas for pushing your own creative boundaries, confident in your photographic voice and to feel revived and re-energised in your own work with a whole host of new photography besties to boot!

Infusing Creativity - How to mix creativity into your photography life, into your work and how this can flow through to the essence of your brand.

Energy & Elements - Creative photography recipes to give you immediate actionable ideas to make vibrant and energetic work. Everything from working with prisms, double exposures, free-lensing, ICM, macro (with & without a macro lens!), all with an underlying theme of pushing your creative boundaries!
We will also have fun 'shoot out' photo challenges....with prizes!

Meet Your Instructors
Hi, I'm Bex! An excitable soul, obsessed with colour, creativity, books and movies.
I've been a photographer for over 15 years, developing my skills in nature and landscape photography where I grew up in Scotland to now running a successful brand photography business on the south east coast of England.
My popular online course, Storytelling For Brands received rave reviews at Click Photo School and I've written various articles for magazines and blogs.
In 2020, I founded This Detailed Life, an international photography magazine. As Editor-in-Chief & Creative Director, with my team, I cultivated a wonderful and inspiring community of photographers and look forward to spreading that welcoming vibe into Camera Chameleons with Natalie.
Hi, I'm Natalie! I'm originally from the UK and living in Dubai since 2010.
I've built a successful Dubai-based family photography business as well as running my course ‘Fused: a guide to double exposures’ and as one half of The Photo Club UAE, designing, developing and delivering photography workshops and photo walks.
I don't sit still for long and invest a lot of time in working towards diversifying my photography business. I am super excited to be launching a retreat - something that has been on my bucket list for years!
I'm Mama to kids aged 15, 12 and 10 who keep me super-busy when I'm not shooting, editing or mentoring other photographers. I love my beagles, breakfast of any kind and my happy places are the mountains and the beach at sunset. I regularly get itchy feet for traveling somewhere new.
We are passionate about sharing our knowledge and skills to empower fellow photographers and business owners.
