Bex is an excitable soul, obsessed with colour, creativity, books and movies. She’s always trying to surreptitiously sneak more rainbows into her home and wardrobe.

Like a rainbow, Bex has a whole spectrum of layers, she's a twin mum, photographer, magazine editor, photography instructor & mentor, speaker, brand photography expert and she’s also a dentist 2 days a week!
People describe her work as vibrant, joyful and rich, capturing the true essence of her subjects. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and skills to empower fellow photographers and business owners.
Background
Bex grew up in Scotland but moved to the south coast of England when she was 6 months pregnant with twins in 2014. They’re now 8 and keep life interesting and VERY busy but they’re pretty photogenic so it’s all good ;)
In fact, the twins were the turning point for Bex who had always been adamant about NOT being a people photographer.
Having her own little people pivoted her interests from landscape and nature photography (which is still there) to photographing her babies which eventually led to starting a family & brand photography business which has since evolved into specialising in storytelling for brands.
Photography Career
Bex helps growing businesses in the UK (and beyond), to boost their visibility by crafting stunning, personality-packed galleries of on-brand photos. She takes pride in presenting creative, unique images that perfectly portray her clients, in order to attract the right people to enable their business to evolve. All this is packaged together with marketing tips and advice so they feel confident using their new photos too and most of all, making the whole experience fun & easy!
Storytelling For Brands is the name of Bex’s popular online course which received rave reviews - she is a photography instructor with the prestigious Click Photo School and mentors other photographers, helping them to develop their creative and business skills.
Bex has developed a well known, colourful brand herself, receiving links about beautiful rainbow related goods all the time from friends, family, followers and even strangers on the internet! She can't wait to run her branding masterclass to help Chameleon Retreat attendees refine their own brand message.
Awards & Achievements
Bex has won many awards and featured on international photography judging panels herself. She became a Click Pro in 2019, Finalist Best Photographer in Sussex in 2018, Finalist in Click’s Voice Collection 2019, short-listed Food Photographer of the Year awards in 2021, has had multiple acceptances to PhotoVogue. She was Highly Commended as a finalist in the Uckfield Business Awards in 2023 as both Sole Trader of the Year and Best Business To Business and won numerous Lifestyle Photographers Association Pro Awards, most recently in 2023. She's also been featured in the press including BBC News, Elle Decoration and Grazia.
Bex has written articles for magazines and blogs such as Click and Dear Photographer and in 2020, she founded This Detailed Life, an international photography magazine. As Editor-in-Chief & Creative Director, with her team, Bex produced and published 5 gorgeous editions and cultivated a wonderful and inspiring community of photographers and looks forward to using her expertise and spreading that welcoming vibe into Camera Chameleons with Natalie.
